Directions
Use the medication following the guidance of your healthcare provider and after reading the instructions:
- Take one tablet daily at the same time for 21 days.
- After finishing the pack, take a 7-day break before starting the next pack.
- It is advisable to take Microgynon on the first day of your period. If you forget to take the pill, take it immediately as soon as you remember.
- If you miss one day, you are still protected.
- For multiple days, you are supposed to use additional contraception for seven days.
Ingredients
Microgynon 30 contains two active ingredients, 150mcg levonorgestrel & 30mcg ethinylestradiol.
It also contains the following inactive ingredients: Lactose, maize starch, povidone, magnesium stearate (E572), sucrose, macrogol 6000, calcium carbonate (E170), talc, montan glycol wax, titanium dioxide (E171), glycerin (E422), ferric oxide pigment yellow (E172).
Warnings
You are advised to refrain from using Microgynon if you suffer from the following women’s health conditions.
- Breast and cervical cancer
- High risk of blood clots
- Sickle-cell anemia
- Varicose veins
- Kidney disease
- Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis
- Diabetes
- An inflamed pancreas
- Obesity
- Migraines
