How Does Rabeprazole Work?
The stomach naturally produces acid to enable the body to digest food and kill unwanted germs and bacteria. When produced in large, unregulated amounts, acids can break down the barrier, reach the stomach, and cause ulcers and inflammation. The acid can also escape to other parts of the body such as the oesophagus, resulting in acid reflux or heartburn.
