Description
What is Miralax Enema?
Micralax Enema is a convenient, fast-acting laxative designed to provide relief from constipation. It comes in a small, single-dose tube containing a liquid gel that is easy to administer rectally. Micralax is suitable for use in adults, the elderly, and children, although professional advice should be sought for children. The product works locally in the bowel, making it an effective option for quick relief without the need for oral laxatives.
How Does it Work?
The active ingredients in Micralax (sodium citrate, sodium lauryl sulfoacetate, and sorbitol) work together to draw water into the bowel, softening hard stools and stimulating natural bowel movements. Sodium citrate and sodium lauryl sulfoacetate help break down and soften the stool, while sorbitol increases water absorption in the bowel. This combined action lubricates the intestines and triggers peristalsis, facilitating a bowel movement usually within 5 to 15 minutes of application.

				Directions
To safely and effectively use this treatment, consult your doctor and read the instructions:
- Either sit on the toilet or lie sideways with legs folded towards your tummy.

- Remove the cap that’s covering the tube.

- Lubricate the nozzle for ease of use.

- Gently push the nozzle into your anal passage and squeeze all its contents.

- Don’t stop squeezing the tube as you remove it from the passage. This prevents the fluid from being sucked back into it as you pull it out.

- Be patient for 5 to 15 minutes as the laxative’s effects are felt.

- Finally, clean your hands for hygiene purposes. Do this after you’ve had a bowel movement.
