Finasteride Tablets treat male pattern hair loss, also known as androgenetic alopecia. Each tablet contains 1 mg of finasteride, which belongs to a group of medicines called 5-alpha reductase inhibitors. This treatment is for men only.

Finasteride is prescribed to treat male pattern baldness, helping to:

How Should Finasteride Be Taken?
To get the most out of Finasteride, it’s important to take it correctly and consistently.
— Take 1 tablet once a day, with or without food.
— Try to take it at the same time each day for steady results.
— It may take 3 to 6 months before you notice any changes.
— If you stop treatment, any hair regrowth may be lost within 9 to 12 months.
— If you forget a dose, take it when you remember—but never double up.
Are There Any Side Effects of Finasteride?
As with any medicine, Finasteride may cause side effects—though not everyone gets them.
— Common side effects: Reduced sex drive, trouble getting or keeping an erection, changes in ejaculation.
— Uncommon side effects: Mood changes or feelings of depression.
— Rare or serious effects: Breast tenderness or changes, allergic reactions, testicular pain, blood in semen, anxiety or suicidal thoughts.
