Description
Brevinor tablets are a type of hormonal contraception. They contain the hormone ethinylestradiol and the progestogen norethisterone.
Brevinor is a combined oral contraceptive pill used to prevent pregnancy. It contains two hormones, ethinylestradiol (oestrogen) and norethisterone (progestogen), that work together to stop ovulation, prevent sperm from reaching the uterus, and reduce the likelihood of egg implantation. Brevinor can also be used to regulate menstrual cycles, reduce period pain, and sometimes treat acne when other treatments are ineffective.
How do Brevinor Tablets Work?
Brevinor tablets work by stopping ovulation (the release of an egg from the ovary). They also thicken the mucus in the cervix, which makes it more difficult for sperm to travel through the cervix and reach the uterus (womb). They are taken every day to prevent pregnancy. Its other benefits include: a reduced risk of ovarian cyst, pelvic inflammation, and fibroids. However, it doesn’t prevent you from acquiring sexually transmitted infections.
It is 99% effective at preventing pregnancy when taken correctly. The pill not only prevents ovulation but also thickens cervical mucus and thins the womb lining to prevent fertilization and implantation. The combined pill can also help in making periods more regular, less painful, and lighter.
